Is the following “case” a “link or history” for a
“14th Amendment person”? :
Pierce v. Society of Sisters. A case involving
an Oregon law that required all children between certain ages to attend a public school, thus preventing attendance at a private school. The
United States Supreme Court, 268 U.S. 510 (1925), invalidated the law as a denial of liberty of parents to direct the education of their children,
a liberty protected by the due-process clause of the 14th Amendment.
