Ok, for the last few years, beginning on sj1 before I was banned, I had been making request for a tarball (compressed file) of all posts made to the site because there was no distribution of the posts except for what Google read itself.
Now sj2 is gone, some sort of database error is shown when you touch the forums/ anchor, and all our posts are gone.
I also suspect that the TruthSeeker network was also some kind of forum and that when it ceased all those posts were lost to the ether; not even Google remembers.
I have had enough of the short-sightedness of site providers and forum-coders who fail to provide for the distribution of OUR posts.
As far as I know, every forum whose "eula" I've read says that our posts are OURS; therefore, we the posters and owners of our words MUST begin demanding that the programmers of forum software code an unrevocable button/anchor which will return a compressed zipfile or tarball to us for downlowding. I dont care how big it is; in these days of internet connections via DSL and cable, with corressponding speeds, there is no excuse for not making this available.
Oh and btw, I wrote to the admins that hosted sj2 and never got a timely response and I couldnt figer out how to contact for a more definitive answer regarding why sj2 was offline - since it appears to ONLY be one of missing data. This too is unbecoming of programmers. as Microsoft's EULA implies, errors can kill.
OK, please excuse my tirade, I'm just tired of externally imposed boxes and limitations from people who don't finish writing the code (programmers) and of people who want me to do something that they no authority to demand of me. (sj1)
IT'S NOT THEIR INFORMATION - IT'S OURS.
